Spain

Spain consists of more than bullfights, flamenco dancers and gorgeous beaches. It’s a spectacular and diverse country with the north resembling the rolling, green hills of Ireland and the south giving you a taste of Moroccan landscapes and architecture. Its tremendous history is reflected in its prehistoric cave paintings, Moorish palaces, crumbling castles, Roman ruins, Gothic and Renaissance cathedrals as well as distinctive modern architecture.

The capital of Spain, Madrid is a cosmopolitan city of cultural and political significance. Its position as a centre for economics, finance, administration and services means that event organisers have all the resources they need for a successful event. Despite this modern infrastructure, Madrid has preserved the look and feel of many of its historic neighborhoods and streets.

Madrid is not just a cultural destination. It is also a lively metropolis with many pubs, cafes, discotheques and nightclubs open late into the night. Madrid also offers more 5* hotel beds and more meeting capacity than any other city in the country.

San Sesbastián

San Sebastián is the undisputed queen of the Basque resorts, the fashionable and famous La Concha Bay with its deep and sparkling calm waters and stunning beach area is bounded by lush rolling hills which have drawn celebrities and sun lovers to the mild winters and hot summers for generations.

San Sebastián has a justly deserved reputation as one of the world’s great dining destinations. This is a city that celebrates the art of eating well in all its many forms – whether snacking on fresh oysters and txakoli (a lightly sparkling white wine) at a seaside cafe or lingering over a decadent, multi-course feast in a Michelin-starred dining room. Pintxos (Basque tapas) bars litter the streets of San Sebastián, and showcase first-rate ingredients from the surrounding coast and countryside combined with the culinary creativity of Basque chefs. When it comes to cooking, no other city quite compares.

San Sebastian has a staggering array of festivals and cultural events. The International Film Festival, which happens in September, brings European and Hollywood stars to town, while the Semana Grande in August features a week of street parties and revelry.
